January 2, 2005 10:16 - Mixing alcohol with murder mystery parties

A little late for the 2004 party season, but just in time for 2005, I've added a new tip - Alcohol and murder mystery games - do they mix?

Whether you serve alcohol at a murder mystery party or not is definitely a matter of personal preference - yours and your guests. However, here are my suggestions on the subject - Alcohol and murder mystery games - do they mix?

Cheers!

January 10, 2005 19:18 - Good News Stories

One of the things that makes running this website and Freeform Games worthwhile is hearing about your parties.

Now, at Great Murder Mystery Games I don't get that much feedback, but at Freeform Games we've set up a page and a form to make it easy for you to tell us about your parties. (We also ask our customers for more formal feedback (good or bad) - but unprompted stories are always nice to read.

Anyway, we just recently recieve another - you can read it here.

(And if you've got a story about a Freeform Games murder mystery party - do let us know!)

January 17, 2005 18:23 - Guilty Parties #21

I've just published Guilty Parties #21, the murder mystery email newsletter. In Guilty Parties I publish details of new games, hints and tips, I answer some of the recent questions and . . . well, it's pretty much the same as this news blog really.

If you read this news blog on an RSS reader, then there’s really no reason why you should be interested in the newsletter, but if you’ve come here via a web-page, then you can get all the news delivered direct to your email box.

I publish Guilty Parties email newsletter every other month, approximately mid-month.

You can find back-issues here and subscribe here.

January 24, 2005 18:07 - Celebrate St Valentine's Day - with a murder!

February 14 is fast approaching and while I am young and romantic enough to want to celebrate it with my partner, I know that there are plenty of people who would rather party instead.

And if you're going to party, why not make it a murder mystery party? And if you're holding a murder mystery party - why not make it a themed party?

Merri Mysteries have produced The Case of the Missing Matchmaker - a romantic game ideal for Valentine's Day for 8-50 people. The Case of the Missing Matchmaker also includes a fun "matching game".

Click here to go to the Merri Mysteries site and learn more.

Mysteries on the Net, meanwhile, have Love Writes a Deadly Verse, a poetic murder mystery for Valentine's Day. Love Writes a Deadly Verse is for 10 to 50 people, and there's a large-group version that caters for 100+.
