July 3, 2005 10:38 - 10 reasons why I like interactive murder mystery games so muchIt's occurred to me that I might not have made it completely clear just why I enjoy the interactive murder mystery games so much. So I thought I'd clear that up and I've written an article explaining it all.

This is also the first page that I've done in the new-look layout for Great Murder Mystery Games. Tell me what you think!
July 12, 2005 18:48 - MerrymurderI've just recently come across a new murder mystery party website - www.merrymurder.com.
While I've not tried any of their games (yet!), they look like they could be rather good fun.
From what I can tell from the website, the Merrymurder games are a sort of half-way step between a fully interactive murder mystery party, and the round-by-round parties that you can by in the stores. (You know, the "How to Host.." games.)
And while the Merrymurder games are played in rounds, they also contain actions and directions so that the mystery unfolds as the party goes on.
Merrymurder murder mystery games are available in three different formats - a pdf file, a standard version and a deluxe version. The deluxe version looks particularly good as it's printed in colour and comes in a neat wallet folder.

July 19, 2005 20:21 - A Dead Man's ChestAharrr, m'shipmates!
Freeform Games have just published A Dead Man's Chest, an interactive pirate murder mystery party for 12 to 16 guests and one host.
Set on the sleepy Caribbean island of Santo Oloroso, two pirate crews have arrived to avenge the death of Captain Flint and steal his treasure. But all is not well on Santa Oloroso, and the volcano is rumbling...
As with other Freeform Games, A Dead Man's Chest is completely interactive and has lots going on besides solving the murder and finding the treasure.
That's about all I have to say right now - I'm going to create a page for the game shortly, but until then you learn more about the game by downloading the introductory pdf file.
