September 6, 2005 19:13 - Send your party invitations by email

I'm writing this one with my Freeform Games hat on...

We have just launched a new service - you can email the details of your party to your friends.

So what's new about that, I hear you ask?

Well, what we've done (and I should point out that it's Mo, the other partner, who's done the magic) is taken the content of the introductory pdf file, and turned it into something you can email directly to your guests. It's really easy - and pretty nifty too.

The only problem at the moment is that we've only just launched it, and it's only for A Dead Man's Chest currently (although the other games will be rolling out shortly).

However, what we're looking for right now is feedback - so please try it out and let us know what you think.

Click here to go to the "Send invitations" page.

September 17, 2005 09:22 - Start your party with a bang not a fizzle!

Last month I added a form to my party tips page asking for either your tips or suggestions for what I should write.

Well, the first suggestion arrived a few days ago, asking that I explain how important it is to introduce the characters and their relationships at the start of a party.

The reason for that is . . . hang on. I'm not going to explain that here - you can read about it here, in Party Introductions - how to make your party start with a bang not a fizzle.

I can't promise that I'll always be so prompt, but if you've got a suggestion for a tip - or you even want to write a tip of your own, please use this form (scroll down to the bottom of the page) and let me know all about it.

September 25, 2005 10:32 - Are you a professional party organiser?

... because if so, I want to hear from you.

Every now and again I'm asked if I can host a murder mystery party. And for some reason, these have been on the increase lately - I guess it's because the party season is approaching...

Unfortunately, I can't host your murder mystery party for you. There's a range of reasons for this - but the main one is I'm simply not geared up for it. I do host them for friends and family, but that's a whole different ball game to hosting them professionally.

(Another reason I can't host them is often geography. I've been asked to host parties in as far flung places such as Singapore and Texas - which is a little difficult when I'm based in Yorkshire in England!)

I don't really like letting people down - what I would really like to be able to do is refer them to a local party organiser who can sort out their needs for them.

At the moment, however, I only know of one in London - which is fine for those in and around London, but not so good for anyone else.

So - if you're a party organiser, let me know so that I can direct potential customers your way. Click here to get in touch with me and tell me about yourself.
