December 3, 2006 10:10 - Get Partybooking.com to organise your murder mystery eventPartybookings.com describe themselves as "Events Management Coordinators", which basically mean that they provide and organise corporate entertainment. (Amongst other things, they do have a murder mystery night called "Are You Being Served?")
Here's what they say:
"Partybookings.com provides venues for a wide range of events. We guarantee satisfaction in the areas of appearance, performance, and taste. The following is a sampling of the types of events we plan every year:
- Meetings, Trainings, and Retreats.
Conferences and Workshops cum accommodation.
Birthdays, Anniversaries, Graduations and Holidays.
Weddings, Receptions, and Showers.
Company picnics, banquets, and award ceremonies."I must admit that I've not tried them - but then I don't spend a lot of time organising corporate events. If you do have a corporate event to arrange, maybe you should check them out at www.partybookings.com.

December 16, 2006 10:11 - Way out West - from CafepressFreeform Games have gone into partnership with Cafepress, the on-demand printer, to sell printed versions of their games. You place your order, and within a few days a printed copy of the game, in the form of a wire-bound book, will arrive at your door. All you have to do is remove the wire binding, cut out the cards and so on, and you can run the game right away!
Way out West has been one of Freeform Games' most popular games and is a classic adventure of dastardly railwaymen, upright sheriffs and sly good-time girls, for 10-14 guests and a host. It's set in the Wild West of 1884 and the printed version is on sale at just $50 (about £25.70 - so slightly more than the electronic version, but that's due to the higher production costs).
Click here to buy the game from Cafepress.
(If the printed version of Way out West is a success, Freeform Games will follow it up with other games.)
As well as the game's cover price, you'll have to pay for the shipping costs, which will depend on whereabouts in the world you are. It also will take a few days to arrive (especially at this time of year) so be sure to allow plenty of time in advance of when you plan to host the game!
(Don't expect Cafepress to be able to deliver you a printed game in time for this Christmas!)
