How much reading in games for kids.....have dyslexic child

I'm planning a birthday party for my daughter who will be 12, most of the girls attending are about 11 (they are in 5th grade). However, my daughter has a reading problem - she reads on about a 3rd grade level. Would any of your games work for her - be interesting enough but easy enough to read?

Many thanks.

My response:

Unfortunately I'm not very well qualified to answer, as my own daughter is only 18 months old and I don't have that much experience of older kids.

However, my general thoughts are that if her reading age is 8-ish, she may struggle without some help with the interactive games. (It depends a bit on the game, obviously.) However, in those cases she could get her character details in advance and give her a bit more time.

As far as the Mysteries-on-the-Net games are concerned, as long as she isn't one of the main suspects, she will have very little to read. (The main suspects have quite a bit of backstory - everyone else is a detective.)
