Ideas for a cake - Bludgeoned on Broadway

I was asked to do a sheet cake for a Bludgeoned on Broadway play do you have any suggestions for what I could put on the cake?

The party will be New Years eve so I would need ideas soon. They asked if I could use a cake pan that looks like a book, for which I have that.

My response:

I wasn't sure what a "sheet cake" was until I Googled it...

Suitable designs for Bludgeoned on Broadway are clearly something theatre-based, perhaps some theatrical curtains and a stage.

I'm sorry I can't be more inspiring - cake decorating isn't my strong point!
