Looking for party for kids and adults

by Karen Mariani

I'm looking to have one of these for adults and kids - all together about 15 adults and maybe 12-16 kids ranging in ages from 11-16. What would be the best one?

I don't mind being the host and running it, but I want something the kids would be active in as well.

Thanks, Karen

My response:

I suggest one of the following:

All at Sea by Freeform Games. All at Sea is a fully interactive game that will allow both the kids and adults to mingle. Each player has a character with their own goals to deal with - including solving the murder. (That is, unless you're the murderer...)

You may need to be careful casting as some of the roles aren't suitable for the younger kids.

(None of the other interactive games are particularly suitable as they are either for the wrong number of people or they involve inappropriate themes.)

Death in them thar hills by Mysteries on the Net. (Or any of their games really...) Mysteries-on-the-Net write a very different type of game to Freeform Games. In their games there are several suspects, and everyone else is a detective working (in teams) to solve the murder. They also have a number of kids-only games, but my feeling is that they may be too young for adults.
