Overview of Murder at the Four Deuces

Just have to say your site is fantastic!!

I'm looking for some advice really.

I have hosted a murder party about 10 years ago (the style with a tape and about 3 scripted rounds).

I'm looking to host another but want something a little more interactive. From what I can see, I'll get this with Murder at the Four Deuces, Can you confirm for me that:

1 - No-one knows the murderer's identity

2 - There are no scripted sections, only background info for the guests to use

3 - The murder takes place before the party begins, however the guests do have the opportunity to murder other guests through the night using weapon cards. (This sounds great fun, although do you think this can make things too complicated as everyone else attending will be a first time player.)

I'm trying to find the most suitable game and this seems to be it. I don't want fixed scripting and would prefer the murder to already have happened so I can actually set up a crime scene and possibly even a corpse.

Sorry for the length of this question but I really want to pick the most suitable game.

My response:

Thanks for the kind words about my site. As for Murder at the Four Deuces...

1 - Only the murder knows that they were the murderer. (Not even the host knows - providing the host is careful when printing out the game.)

2 - There are no scripted sections.

3 - The murder takes place before the game, and there are opportunities for further murders. The instructions make this clear how this works so that it's suitable for people new to this kind of game.

I hope that this answers your questions - have a good party and let me know how it goes!
