Purchasing

I have been trying to purchase Hollywood Lies for the last two days, but my transactions keeps getting declined. I have contacted my bank and they have said it isn't a problem with my cards, Visa and Mastercard. Can you advise please? We need to purchase it asap.

My response:

I can't normally deal with these queries as the transactions are handled by the games publishers themselves (and usually they are dealt with by a third party again). So I would normally suggest that you talk directly to the publisher concerned (in this case Freeform Games).

However, in this case I have spoken to Freeform Games and they have advised that WorldPay (their payment system) automatically refused your card on suspicion of fraud. The problem is that while your card is registered in the Philippines, you were (apparently) trying to make the purchase from a computer in Indonesia. (Although "wrong country" isn't always an automatic refusal, it is for some countries.)

You might try buying the game through via the Paypal button - you don't need a PayPal account and you can use your card through in the normal way. (But you might have the same problem.)

Alternatively, can you get a friend to buy the game and then pay them back?
