Sleuth Noir

Sleuth is an open-ended detective RPG where you solve mysteries by searching for clues, questioning suspects and interviewing witnesses. Each mystery is randomly generated and the levels range from easy to Almost Impossible cases.

There is a great online community with message boards ranging from newbie questions to a message board game room. People can register at the site for free and are limited to 4 cases per day and cannot travel.

Subscription prices vary based on the length of the subscription purchased. Subscribing opens up many new options including the ability to travel, to join or create your own detective agency where players can team up in search of hidden tresure and unlock various mysteries in teh game.

There are actaully two sites here, Sleuth:Shades of Mystery, the most recent addition which is more of a point and click type game and Sleuth Noir, the original game that is more text based and interactive. I personally prefer Sleuth Noir and that is where the fun is. Not only is a great game, it is a great community.
