Which Game to Choose?

Hello,

I am planning my first Murder Mystery for 10/24. I will have 18-22 guests (18 currently confirmed). The two parties on your site that I am choosing between are Halloween Lies and The Auction. Would you recommend one of these over the other? Halloween Lies has a fitting theme, but The Auction might be easier for people to get costumes together on short notice.

Also, The Auction has up to 40 guests. Once I order the game, will we be missing part of the story with just 20 or so guests? Would the fun factor decrease on this game?

Awesome site!

My response:

Thanks for the kind words about the site.

Yes, in a way you would be missing part of The Auction if you didn't fill it - that's why I generally recommend trying to fill a game (and I say so on my choosing a game page.)

As for costuming Halloween Lies, the murder mystery is set at a post-award party - so if it's easier to dress in black tie, you could do that instead of traditional Halloween costumes.

I hope that helps - and have a good party!

Don't know where to start?

Here's my suggested quick route through the site:

Step 1 - Go to Choosing a Game to choose the game that suits your party best.

Step 2 - Review the Tips for Hosts for helpful advice.
