Character priority in A Speakeasy Murder

I would like to buy A Speakeasy Murder but would just like to check something with you first please.

We will have about 22 guests and I’m wondering if the pdf character list tells you who the main characters are so they can choose or I can allocate them in order of priority to the game?

I want to make sure that my guests get the most important characters in the game. Thanks.

My response:

The instructions in A Speakeasy Murder tell you which characters to use. There are 15 core characters, and then the instructions tell you which characters to use if you have more than 15 characters.

So with 22 guests the instructions tell you which characters to use.
