Do you have any games where the host can also play along as one of the characters?
Unfortunately the nature of a fully interactive murder mystery game is that it really helps to have someone who knows what's going on.
However, I've written about playing and hosting at the same time here.
Or you could try The Auction or The Final Curtain which are fairly simple games and as long as you don't read the character sheets or the solution, then you'll be fine.
