Can characters be altered easily?

I'd love to host a murder mystery dinner for my birthday on March 14th. I'm intrigued by Happy birthday RJ (because it is both a birthday party and takes place in the south) but I am a girl and RJ is meant to be played by a boy.

Would characters be easily changed to accommodate different genders? I'm also interested in the Dazzled to Death one. Basically I'd love to have one where the guests dress up, but also takes place somewhere in which people have accents and can really do something fun with their characters.
What do you recommend?

Thanks!

my response:

If you buy either Happy Birthday RJ or Dazzled to Death from Freeform Games you will download the pdf files. However, if you then ask Freeform Games they will send you the word documents that you can then amend yourself and change names.

Changing genders can be trickier if they are involved in any relationships or are married. For example RJ has a girlfriend and you might want to change her gender too.

Given that your party isn't that far away, I would suggest a game that you don't need to modify - and so I therefore suggest that Dazzled to Death would be the better choice for you.
